Ron Alexander has Bass playing experience starting in the early 1970's with a group of friends that played pool parties in Decatur, Georgia at the age of 15. Starting on the Tenor Saxaphone at 12 years old Ron fell in love with Music. The electric bass and vocals was his primary instrument in the early groups. In High School a group of friends introduced him to Jazz music. As he headed into College he realized all the great jazz bass players played the string bass or upright bass. He purchased a string bass and headed off the Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia to learn to play the double bass. As he incorporated his string bass playing into his club appearances he became proficient on the string bass. Ron traveled across Europe playing with Americas Youth in Concert. On his return to the United States he was asked by Northside High School in Atlanta to play in a show named Peter Pan. The following season he played Promises, Promises with Northside High School. The following year he began playing with the Atlanta Theater Company in productions of The King and I, Oliver and The Robber Bridegroom all under the direction of Michael Fauss. Later he began playing with The Atlanta Chamber Orchestra under the direction of John Naskewitz and eventually played with the Atlanta Opera Company. His music career was put on pause after two years of marriage when he and his wife had a child. Ron moved to Birmingham, Alabama to become a manufacturers representative for Pulaski Furniture Company from 1981 - 2003. He joined his wife part time in the Real Estate business in 2000 and went full time into Real Estate in 2003. In 2006 he took up playing bass again with Shades Mountain Independent Church and later with Briarwood High School in a theatrical production of Meet me in St. Louis. Ron Alexander is available for shows, theatrical performances, dinner club engagements and various party performances. Call today for details 205.937.7890
